No more dancing

Our lessons of English Country Dancing have ended for the summer, and we finished them up with a ball on Sunday after church. We had dance cards, tea and punch, and did both the line dancing most known from Austen movies and period waltzing, finishing up by learning the polka. Also, with the steps our teacher taught us, we taught ourselves Mr. Beveridge's Maggot (otherwise known as Elizabeth and Darcy's Big Dance in the 1995 Pride and Prejudice) and performed it for her. We are all looking forward to when we start lessons again in the fall.
