1. One book that changed your life: My life so far? The Lord of the Rings, definitely.
2. One book that you've read more than once: *laughs long and loud with tears flowing from eyes* I read almost every book I like more than once. How about a book I would like to read again soon? Villette
3. One book you'd want on a deserted island: The Bible, of course, and after that...The Complete Works of Shakespeare. I don't particularly like him, but I can't think of anything else so long. (Or, to quote Chesterton, Guide to Shipmaking)
4. One book that made you laugh: The Eyre Affair
5. One book that made you cry: Gone With the Wind
6. One book that you wish had been written: Another book by Emily Brontë, Jane Austen, or Elizabeth Gaskell. Yes, I know I didn't follow the rules and only name one book, but I really do not have the fortitude to leave such a question as this answered so laconically.
7. One book that you wish had never been written: Do I wish that about any book? I don't think I do.

Can't think of a favorite, actually.
5. Hamburger?
Buffalo burgers from a restaurant in Yellowstone. Mmm.

I enjoyed your answers! And how fun to do three at once!
I've recently started Northanger Abbey. Have you read it, and if so, can you give me your oppinion?
Certainly, confused!
Northanger Abbey is Jane Austen's first book, one that was written years before her other ones. Therefore, it is considered by some to be an inferior work, but I think it is one of her most enjoyable. The main character is Catherine Morland, who is young and naive, and has a far too over-active imagination. When she is invited by some rich friends to go to Bath, she readily accepts, since she has never been beyond her father's small country parish before. There she meets and instantly likes Henry Tilney, a witty and charming young man. Her simple honesty and openness, unspoilt by Society manners and their deceit, catches his attention as well. Catherine grows in maturity throughout the book, but remains delightfully slightly silly, and Henry Tilney is a character that only Austen could dream up! It's a very light-hearted book, with lots of humor and wit, the characters are memorable, and it's altogether a delight.
I just had to post and tell you that I enjoy the Beth Spera in Domino blog so much that it inspired me to start my own blog---in part just so I could tell you how much your stuff blesses me!
Thanks and keep up the great book recommendations. You are an inspiration to my oldest daughter.
P.s. If you get the chance, I'd love to see you post the recipe for that pasta recipe you mention...the one with garlic and spinach. It sounds delish!
TIA!
