Books read in March
1776 by David McCullough (Mar 2)
A very thorough, in depth, but enjoyable, account of one year in the American Revolution.
The Code of the Woosters by P. G. Wodehouse (Mar 4)
Longitude by Dava Sobel (Mar 5)
This is about the problems of longitude. I never realized how important it was before reading this.
Cotillion (reread) by Georgette Heyer (Mar 8)
Girl With a Pen: Charlotte Brontë by Elizabeth Hale (Mar 10)
Darcy’s Story by Janet Aylmer (Mar 12)
I didn't think you could make a Jane Austen sequel boring—you can.
Pemberley Shades by Dorothy Alice Bonhavia-Hunt(Mar 14)
Much better.
The Firstborn by Margaret Sullivan (Mar 14)
Mansfield Park (reread) by Jane Austen (Mar 15)
The Vicar of Wakefield by Oliver Goldsmith (Mar 16)
I'm not exactly sure why this is a classic.
Frederica by Georgette Heyer (Mar 16)
I did not like the hero of this one, but loved the Frederica and her wonderful family.
Wuthering Heights (reread) by Emily Brontë (Mar 17)
North and South by Elizabeth Gaskell (Mar 19)
Searching For Jane Austen (reread) by Emily Auerbach (Mar 24)
The Way We Live Now by Anthony Trollope (Mar 24)
Type Watch by Otto Kroeger (Mar 25)
The Grand Sophy (reread) by Georgette Heyer (Mar 27)
Discoverer of the Unseen World by Alma Payne (Mar 28)
Biography of the inventor of the microscope; I enjoyed this immensely.
The Masqueraders by Georgette Heyer (Mar 28)

I watched the DVD, The Way We Live Now. It is excellent. Matthew Macfayden is 100% better than he is in the 2005 Pride and Prejudice (hated it).
