The precocious Queen

(TQ = The Queen, MK = Merry K)

TQ: There’s an extra chair at the table.
MK: Indeed, there is.
TQ: Will there be a visitor?
MK: Mm-hm.
TQ: What kind of visitor?
MK: A most distinguished one.
TQ: Who?
MK: A Mr. Bingley, arrived from the north.
TQ: (puts on an adorably cute British accent) Oh, really?
MK: Yes, and he has five thousand a year.
TQ: (suddenly changing the subject, but keeping the accent) Do you like your house, Lady Catherine.
MK: (most autocratic tone) I do, Miss Bennet.
TQ: Where is your daughter?
MK: Visiting the Darcys at Pemberley.
TQ: I suppose she’ll stay for fifty years.
MK: Mm. That is very likely.
