Emma Darcy is real?

I never knew that there was a real Emma Darcy!

Our Emma Darcy, of course, picked that name as a combo of Emma Woodhouse and Fitzwilliam Darcy. After that, I was writing a sequel to Pride and Prejudice and named one of the Darcys' children (the one most like our Emma Darcy) Emma, so that there would be a "real" Emma Darcy.

But then, at the library, I saw that there is an author whose true name is Emma Darcy. Her books aren't good, as far as I know, but it was truly diverting! Now why would a mother name her child that, I wonder... ;)
